vieques 04.13

In early 2013, I spent several weeks on the island of Vieques, which is located off the eastern coast of Puerto Rico, escaping the ravages of yet another winter Nor’easter. Vieques is one of those places where one can go on the lam, lay low and just blend into the expat scenery.

If you’ve seen one barrio, you’ve seen ‘em all. And Vieques was no different. It reminded my of the Philippines, Panama and a host of other former Spanish colonial territories I’ve visited over the years. But, great food and cheap drinks were in abundance. Along with the all manner of wildlife roaming the streets.

There should be more photos in the gallery, but my mobile phone destroyed my SD card. These images are all that are left.

The thumbnails yield larger images.
